Men’s Emotional Processing Group · Phase 2 of 3
Back to Me: Men
An attachment group for men — understanding myself and the people around me.
Virtual group · meets online by secure video
This is where you finally start making sense — to yourself first, and then to the people around you.
You know the moment. Someone gets close, or starts to pull away, and something in you takes over. You go quiet. You get busy. You go cold — or you go hard. Afterward you wonder, why do I keep doing that? And why do the people you love keep doing what they do?
Most men were never taught to look at this. We were taught to handle it alone, push through it, and keep moving. But the pattern doesn’t stop just because you stop looking at it. It was learned in relationship, and that is where it changes. Needing people was never the flaw. It is how you were built.
Over twelve weeks you learn why you feel what you feel and think what you think — so those things stop happening to you and start belonging to you. You come back to the man who was there before the wall went up.
Phase 2 of 3 in the Men’s Emotional Processing Group. The three phases are built to follow one another: The Feeling Work Is the Real Work, then Back to Me, then The Work Underneath. That order is my recommendation, not a requirement. Each phase is a complete group, and you can join any one of them without the others. For the fullest result, I recommend all three.
Who this group is for
Men, single or partnered, whose patterns keep running their relationships — with a partner, their children, family, friends, or at work.
What we do over twelve weeks
Trace your pattern to where it was learned — not to blame anyone, but to understand what it was protecting.
Read the people around you: what their pulling away or pushing in usually means, so you stop taking every move as an attack.
Find the feeling under the feeling: the anger that is really fear, the shutdown that is really hurt.
See the cycle you get caught in with the people you love — and learn to step out of it.
Practice staying: being seen in a room of men, and discovering it doesn’t end the way it used to.
This group draws on attachment-based relational work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness.
From the very beginning it was said that it is not good for the man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). That was never weakness. It was design.
The details
Every group meets online, and that works in your favor.
No traffic, no parking, no waiting room. Ninety minutes of group costs you ninety minutes.
You are already home when it ends. After a hard session there is no drive to get through. You close the laptop and you are in your own space.
Private from the start. Nobody sees you walk into an office.
Distance stops deciding who is in the room. Members join from across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and New Jersey.
