The Weight She Carries
An ADHD group for women diagnosed later in life.
Virtual group · meets online by secure video
You held it together for so long that no one thought to ask what it cost you.
Maybe you were diagnosed at thirty-five, or forty-five. Maybe you haven't been diagnosed at all — you just read something one night and recognized your whole life. For years you were told you were disorganized, too sensitive, not living up to your potential.
So you compensated. You overprepared, stayed up late fixing what slipped, and smiled through the overwhelm. You learned to mask it. And masking is exhausting.
Finding out can bring relief and grief at the same time. This is a room of women who are done apologizing for how their brains work — and are building lives that fit them.
Who this group is for
Women with ADHD, especially those diagnosed — or recognizing it in themselves — as adults.
What we do over twelve weeks
The core skills: time, planning, organization, and follow-through, adapted for real life.
Masking: what it protected, what it costs, and how to set some of it down.
The invisible load: running a household, a family calendar, and a career when organizing is the hard part.
A planner that thinks with you: we set up an AI-assisted planning system and shape it to the week you actually live, whether you run a household, a career, a course load, or a small business.
Hormones and life stages: how your cycle, pregnancy and postpartum, and perimenopause can change what ADHD feels like.
Shame and grief for the years you didn't know — and what you would tell the girl who was told to try harder.
Kindness toward yourself, and a life built around what matters to you.
Your workbook is included in your materials. This group draws on cognitive-behavioral skills for adult ADHD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and self-compassion practices.
The details
Every group meets online, and that works in your favor.
No traffic, no parking, no waiting room. Ninety minutes of group costs you ninety minutes.
You are already home when it ends. After a hard session there is no drive to get through. You close the laptop and you are in your own space.
Private from the start. Nobody sees you walk into an office.
Distance stops deciding who is in the room. Members join from across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and New Jersey.
Twelve straight weeks is easier to keep when getting there takes one click.
