Room for You

A women’s therapy group for the ones who take care of everyone else.

Finally seen. Finally supported.

You are the one everyone calls. You remember the birthdays, smooth over the arguments, notice who’s hurting, and keep it all running. You are good at it. You may not remember the last time someone asked how you were — and waited for the real answer.

Somewhere along the way, your own feelings went to the back of the line. Not because they don’t matter, but because there was always something more urgent. Now they show up anyway: the tiredness sleep doesn’t fix, the tears at the wrong moment, the resentment you feel guilty for, the numbness where joy used to be.

This is a room that is for you. Twelve weeks where your feelings are not an interruption. They are the work.

Who this group is for

Women who carry a lot — for family, work, church, everyone — and have lost track of what they feel and need. Including women carrying old wounds they have never talked about. No one is required to tell their story to be in the room.

What we do over twelve weeks

  • Notice what you feel, in your body, before it becomes a crash.

  • Name it, and let it be there without being taken over by it.

  • Skills for the hard moments: grounding, calming, and setting a boundary without a speech.

  • Understand where the habit of putting yourself last came from — and what it has been protecting.

  • Discover what matters to you, apart from what everyone needs from you.

  • Be supported by women who understand — and find out what changes when you are seen.

This group draws on present-focused, trauma-informed skills for safety and steadiness, attachment work, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

A word about who leads the room. I’m a man, and I lead this group. Many women tell me that is part of what makes it feel different. If you’re unsure about that, tell me when we talk and we’ll go through it honestly. No pressure either way.

Even Jesus would withdraw to be alone and pray (Luke 5:16). Rest was never selfishness. It was how He kept giving.

The details

Every group meets online, and that works in your favor.

  • No traffic, no parking, no waiting room. Ninety minutes of group costs you ninety minutes.

  • You are already home when it ends. After a hard session there is no drive to get through. You close the laptop and you are in your own space.

  • Private from the start. Nobody sees you walk into an office.

  • Distance stops deciding who is in the room. Members join from across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and New Jersey.

  • Twelve straight weeks is easier to keep when getting there takes one click.
