Ready to Be Reached For
A coed dating and attachment group for single adults — why you’re drawn to who you’re drawn to. Part 1 of 2.
Virtual group · meets online by secure video
You keep meeting a different person and ending up in the same place.
Different name, different city, same ending. The one who couldn’t commit. The one who needed more than you could give. The one you gave everything to, and still felt alone beside.
It isn’t bad luck. And it isn’t that there are no good people left. You learned how to love long before your first date — in the home you grew up in, from the people who were supposed to reach for you. Without meaning to, you are drawn to the people who fit that pattern.
That is not a flaw. It is a pattern. And a pattern can be seen, understood, and changed.
Who this group is for
Single adults — never married, divorced, widowed, or dating again after a long time — who are tired of repeating the same relationship and want to be ready for a different one.
This group is coed. Men and women do this work in the same room, so you hear how dating feels from the other side of it, from people you are not trying to impress.
What we do over twelve weeks
Find your love style: how you learned to give and receive love, and what you do when love feels uncertain.
Understand the pull: why some people feel like instant chemistry and others feel boring — and what that feeling is really telling you.
Read the other side: recognize the patterns of the people you’re drawn to, so you can tell early who is able to reach back.
Feel what’s underneath: the fear and the longing beneath your old moves, and new ways to reach for someone with people doing the same work.
Make room for the hard parts of dating — hope, rejection, loneliness — without letting them make your choices for you.
This group draws on attachment-based love-style work, Emotionally Focused Therapy’s understanding of how we reach for each other, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Love was never meant to be earned by performing. Many of us learned to love from fear. This group is about learning to love from security — the way we were first loved.
What comes next
Part 2, Before I Hand Over My Heart, teaches how to pace a new relationship so trust is earned before the heart is given. Many members take both. Each is its own 12-week group.
The details
Every group meets online, and that works in your favor.
No traffic, no parking, no waiting room. Ninety minutes of group costs you ninety minutes.
You are already home when it ends. After a hard session there is no drive to get through. You close the laptop and you are in your own space.
Private from the start. Nobody sees you walk into an office.
Distance stops deciding who is in the room. Members join from across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and New Jersey.
Twelve straight weeks is easier to keep when getting there takes one click.
